FAQ
CONTRACTOR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Everything you need to know before your first project with Mountain West Metals. Don't see your question? Reach out directly and our team will respond within one business day.
What are your typical lead times once I submit project specs?
For most projects, we can schedule a mobile unit site visit within 3–5 business days of spec submission and quote approval. Panel manufacturing happens on-site on the scheduled date — there is no separate factory production wait time.
Is there a minimum order quantity or panel length?
We do not enforce a strict minimum order, but mobile roll-forming is most cost-effective for runs of 500 linear feet or more. Contact us with your project scope and we'll advise on the best approach for smaller or larger jobs.
Can I specify custom panel lengths, widths, and gauges?
Yes. Our mobile units produce panels to your exact length specifications — no field cutting required. We offer standard panel widths in both Snap Lock and Mechanical Lock profiles, and standard gauges including 24-gauge and 26-gauge steel.
What are the job site access requirements for the mobile roll-forming unit?
Our mobile units require a flat, stable surface adjacent to the building — typically a standard driveway, parking lot, or graded pad is sufficient. We need approximately 60–80 feet of linear clearance for the equipment and coil staging. Our team will confirm access requirements during the scheduling call.
Do your panels come with a product warranty?
Yes. Mountain West Metals panels are backed by a manufacturer's material warranty. Specific warranty terms vary by panel profile, gauge, and coating — your project quote will include the applicable warranty documentation.
Do you work with architects or general contractors on specification projects?
Absolutely. We regularly work with architects, general contractors, and roofing subcontractors on commercial and architectural projects. We can provide material submittals, specification sheets, and product samples to support the design and approval process.
