PERFORMANCE ADVANTAGE

ENGINEERED FOR EXTREME CONDITIONS

The double-lock mechanical seam is the most structurally secure standing seam profile available. Unlike snap-together systems, Mechanical Lock panels are field-seamed using a mechanical seaming tool that physically folds and locks the panel seams together -- creating a continuous, watertight, structurally integral roof plane.

WIND UPLIFT RESISTANCE

The mechanically seamed double-lock profile achieves significantly higher wind uplift ratings than snap lock systems. Ideal for high-wind zones, commercial rooftops, and coastal or mountain installations where dynamic wind loads are a design consideration.

WATER INFILTRATION PROTECTION

The field-seamed double-lock creates a fully continuous seam with no reliance on friction or snap-fit tolerances. Combined with the floating clip system and 1.5" seam height, Mechanical Lock panels provide superior water infiltration resistance, even on low-slope roofs.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY

The mechanically seamed profile creates a structurally rigid panel plane that distributes load across the entire roof system. The floating clip system independently accommodates thermal expansion and contraction without stressing the seam, preserving long-term watertight performance.

IDEAL APPLICATIONS

WHERE MECHANICAL LOCK OUTPERFORMS

Mechanical Lock panels are the preferred choice for projects where snap-together systems are insufficient. When slope, wind exposure, building code requirements, or architectural specifications demand the highest level of seam integrity, Mechanical Lock is the professional standard.

• Low-Slope Roofs (as low as 1:12 pitch) -- where water sits longer and infiltration risk is highest
• High-Wind Zones -- mountain, coastal, and exposed commercial sites with elevated wind uplift requirements
• Commercial & Industrial Buildings -- warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturing facilities, office buildings
• Architectural & Design-Forward Projects -- where long uninterrupted panel runs and clean seam lines are specified
• Institutional Buildings -- schools, government buildings, healthcare facilities requiring long-term performance warranties
• Re-Roofing Over Existing Structures -- where added structural integrity from the mechanical seam compensates for substrate variation
